HISTORY

A WINNING LEGACY

Horst Dassler was witness to history in the making. The legendary swimmer Marc Spitz won 7 gold medals in a single Olympic games, making Spitz the most decorated athlete in Olympic history. This incredible feat inspired Dassler – a visionary entrepreneur – to create a line of swimwear dedicated to the world’s best swimmers. Thus, arena was born.
In the more than 40 years since Spitz’s golden wave, arena has worked together with the best swimmers in the world, establishing a deep connection with water sports and athletes of all manner. From racing and training to leisurewear, arena has been dedicated to an in-depth technical know-how of sport, water, and the human body, to enhance its performance and capabilities. This spearhead expertise pared with savvy design, has built the foundation for the arena success.
